The VIA Spinous Process Fixation System is a next-generation system, utilizing contoured surfaces and independent compression to accommodate varying spinal anatomy.

 Independent Compression

  • VIA utilizes independently compressible cephalad and caudal plates.  This enables fixation on each spinous process independent of the fixation on an adjacent spinous process, maximizing engagement of the teeth.

Contoured Surfaces

  • Contoured plate surfaces mimic the anatomy of the spinous processes and laminae to enable ventral-most placement of the device and maximize engagement of the teeth in thicker, harder bone near the lamina.
  • The low-profile design and smooth outer contour may also help reduce post-operative tissue irritation.
